Established in 1991, KUBTEL has a rich history of pioneering advanced communication solutions and delivering an extensive array of services.

In 2019, HFR Inc. a publicly traded company based in South Korea, acquired a 40% shareholding, propelling KUBTEL into the dynamic 5G sector.

HFR Inc. is a prominent global player in the telecommunications industry, specializing in end-to-end 5G solutions. Their expertise spans from broadcasting transmission devices to cutting-edge multimedia solutions, positioning HFR at the forefront of next-generation services within the telecommunications market.

Background

Our contributions have been pivotal in introducing several advanced communication solutions that underpin the ubiquitous telephony and internet services cherished by Malaysians today.

These innovative solutions encompass ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line), WLL (Wireless-in-Local-Loop), DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), RTDSLAM (Remote Terminal Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer System), Metro-e, Microwave, WIFI, and IP Radio.

As authorized licensees of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), we build, maintain and operate a network of communication towers that serve as critical components in facilitating widespread access to telephony and internet services.

These towers play an essential role in connecting communities throughout the region. KUBTEL has been appointed by the telecommunication state-backed company Terengganu Communications (TCOMM) as one of the Development Partners for the state of Terengganu – contributing to the telecommunication infrastructure expansion and enhancement in bridging digital divide within the state.

Our unwavering commitment is directed toward addressing the ever-evolving technological requirements of both Malaysians and the broader Asian region. Over the years, we have firmly established our reputation as industry leaders in the telecommunications and IT sector, with a strong focus on engineering services & maintenance, communication towers, and IT managed services.
